A caring personal approach

At Human Engineering we specialise in seeing clients and patients seeking guidance and results for pre/post exercise rehabilitation, exercise and lifestyle coaching and sports specific strength conditioning. We take a holistic approach using the CHEK Practitioner method combined with Exercise Physiology and Personal Training.

Established in 1996 by CHEK Practitioner Chas Barclay BASpSc(Hons), ESSAM, AES, AEP, PGCBA, CHEK 3, HLC 2, GPS, Human Engineering provides a caring personal approach in a Licensed CHEK Professional Facility. It is a private, fully equipped functional training exercise studio conveniently located in the heart of Crows Nest on Sydney's Lower North Shore.

Realistic recommendations on day to day work and lifestyle changes to get you the best results

The CHEK Practitioner Approach is an exercise based school of thought viewing the body as an integrated and interconnected unit. This genuinely holistic total analysis gives you the best approach to truly achieving your goals every time in a safe, relaxed and effective manner.

We work with your referring Medical Practitioner, Allied Health Professionals, Natural Therapists, Fitness Professionals or Insurance Companies.

Health Funds

Health funds rebates are available for our Accredited Exercise Physiologist Services. For the exact rebate amount, health fund members will need to confirm this with their health fund. Some policies may offer 'bonus' payments or other rebates, dependent on the level or duration of cover and claim limits.

Electronic claiming through HICAPS is available at Human Engineering.

HICAPS allows eligible patients of participating health funds the convenience of on the spot claims processing for initial, standard, and extended standard consultations!

Consultations, exercise coaching and personal training are by appointment only. Please call (02) 9438-2299 or email Chas.

You will be asked a few questions to establish the extent of any injuries you may have and the reasons for your visit. In order to help you reach your goals, it is essential that you determine exactly what you are committed to achieving prior to seeing us.

We will then arrange an appointment time and email you details regarding the appointment and an Initial Intake Questionnaire to be completed and brought to your Consultation.
