Background
Originally from
England, Chas received his bachelor’s
degree with honours in sports science and history
from West London Institute (College of Brunel
University) in 1990 and entered the fitness industry.
Over the next 6 years he instructed, trained
and coached clients in their health and fitness
goals in London, Sydney, and Auckland. It wasn’t
until 1996, while working as a Personal Trainer
at Les Mills World of Fitness in Auckland, that
he attended his first Paul Chek Seminar, changed
his approach to exercise and rehabilitation,
and entered the C.H.E.K. Certification Program.
Chas sees job
satisfaction as being when clients report having
achieved movement, aesthetic, sporting success,
or postural changes they never thought possible
in a pain-free and healthy environment.
Experience
As a C.H.E.K. Practitioner with over 18 years international experience in the exercise rehabilitation, sports and fitness industries, Chas has had the opportunity to consult to many clients and organisations, including Olympic, World, National Champion medallists and record holders.
The training
he has received particularly from Paul Chek,
founder of the C.H.E.K. Institute in California
in the areas of orthopaedic assessment, core
stabilisation and functional strength, has
allowed his clients to improve their posture
and health, rehabilitate chronic back, shoulder,
and knee injuries, lose weight, change the
shape of their bodies, and improve their sports
performance.
On several occasions
he has worked with Paul Chek in the promotion
and demonstration of corrective and functional
exercises and equipment, and is featured in six
C.H.E.K. Institute exercise videos/DVDs using
Swiss balls, Medicine balls, Free Weights and
adjustable cable column systems.
Qualifications
By using what
he has learnt to be a success on the sporting
fields and tracks of England and Australia, Chas
has shown a determined approach to educate him
to be the best he can be. He has continued to
gain new knowledge and skills required for the
unique approach applied at Human Engineering.

III
C.H.E.K. Practitioner
T: 0412 294 216
I have spent a lot of time
in my first 30 years bumping into things that
do and don't work all around the world. One
thing I have found, is that the CHEK approach
is extremely effective in helping people rehabilitate,
resolve or prevent re-occurring injury, and
raise their level of performance beyond expectations.
I have worked with people
from many backgrounds ranging from house-wives
in post-surgical rehab through to professional
and junior tennis players, ministers, lawyers,
park rangers, motivational gurus, butchers,
doctors and a dental nurse who turned into
a CHEK Practitioner herself! All these people
have found this work to revolutionise the way
they live and work, and we've all constantly
been surprised by the speed of results.
In combination with my experience
in work rehab, corporate health, injury prevention
and business consulting I have worked with
many young people both in and out of the gym.
I specialise in a cross-functional approach
to youth athlete
conditioning that encourages input from parents,
coaches and teachers while maintaining an autonomous
and self-directed approach for the athlete.
Across all clients, I prefer
to work in a coaching format of blocks of three
hours, rather than an hourly "personal training" model
as I have found this approach inspires self-motivation,
keeps costs realistic and the client becomes
more self-directed, visiting the centre less
frequently.
I have a real interest in
people's stories and a genuine care for achieving
positive health and well-being that I hope
resonates through my work.

Esti Dalton
Cert. IV Fitness(PT), C.H.E.K. Ex.Coach (Oct’08)
Exercise Coach
T: 0432 656 779
E: esti@humanengineering.com.au
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Esti completed a National Certificate in Fitness before moving to London, United Kingdom, to work as a Personal Trainer at "The Broadgate Club," widely considered one of London's leading health clubs.
After 2 years and further certifications in Personal Training and Pre and Post Natal from the Holmes Place Academy, Esti relocated to Vancouver, Canada, where she worked with C.H.E.K. Practitioners in a private training facility coaching clients with different health concerns. A move to Sydney earlier this year, has seen her embark on the C.H.E.K. Certification Program and coach clients in the private studio setting of Human Engineering.
Esti’s sporting background is in Netball and Track Athletics (Hurdling), while her interests are surfing, rock climbing and fire spinning.
Career Statement: “My experience so far has taught me that the conventional approach to health, disease, exercise and nutrition does not always satisfy the needs of the client. I am passionate about coaching, using a holistic approach to help people achieve their goals. My medium term goal is to qualify as a C.H.E.K. Level 4 Practitioner with a view to becoming a highly trained Kinesiologist.”
